Biography
Beklan Murat (b.1991, Istanbul) is a Turkish multidisciplinary artist specializing in fine art painting, tattoo art, illustration, and large-scale murals. He holds a degree in Graphic Arts and Design from Işık University, and is a certified expert tattoo artist. He is also a member of the International Association of Art (IAA/UNESCO) / Turkish Committee UPSD.
Beklan has been passionately dedicated to his craft for over 15 years, delving into human psychology, social dynamics, enviromentalist approaches and abstract thought through his works. His debut solo exhibition,“Homo Homini Lupus” (2024, Istanbul), explored existential and sociological themes.
Currently based in Ubud, Bali, Beklan focuses on new series engaging environmental concerns and cultural interconnectedness.
